NC Emergency Management has implemented a new process to evaluate businesses and allow them to continue operations IF a shelter-in-place order should be issued.
This is not to say that a shelter in place order is imminent. This is a precautionary measure to allow a business to become a designated ESSENTIAL BUSINESS SUPPLIER. These businesses would be allowed to continue operations if a shelter-in-place order is issued.
To begin the application process, send an email to beoc@ncdps.gov and include the following information:
-
Business name
-
Point of contact
-
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address
-
Nature of the business and why it is critical to continue operations
-
Business web address
Please be aware that this is a new process and the Business Emergency Operations Center is experiencing a high volume of requests, so a response could be delayed.
